According to the Narada Purana, Goddess Bhavani (Durga) manifested on the Ashtami of the Chaitra Shukla Paksha. Because it marks her divine origin, the day is celebrated with grand festivities and is known as Maha Ashtami.

Vastu (वस्तु) refers to "objects" or substance, whereas Vāstu (वास्तु) refers to the "dwelling" or architecture. Vastu Shastra is the art of placing objects correctly within the dwelling.

In Sanskrit, "Go" translates to Cow, Earth, or Senses, and "Vind" means Protector or Finder. Therefore, "Govind" is the beautiful name of Lord Krishna representing Him as the divine protector of the cows, the earth, and His devotees.
