Lord Vishnu (श्री हरि) is the primary deity worshipped on Ekadashi. Observing this fast and performing His Puja grants Moksha (liberation) and secures a place in His divine abode, Vaikuntha Dham.

According to Shiva Purana, Kubera (the God of Wealth) was a thief in his past life who unknowingly lit a lamp near a Shivling at night to see better. Pleased by this act, Shiva made him the Treasurer of Gods in his next life. Lighting a lamp invokes this "Kubera Yoga".

Aquarius (Kumbh) has a "Special Financial Gain" yoga today. Leo (Singh) and Cancer (Kark) also show strong signs of economic strengthening and wealth inflow.

Mars (Mangal) rules violence, fire, and accidents. Rahu rules sudden, unexpected catastrophic events. Saturn (Shani) rules fate and karma. When these three planets negatively afflict the ascendant or the 8th house, they create strong yogas for accidents or untimely death.
